ChemChats are monthly open roundtable discussions on Zoom facilitated by NEACT. ChemChats are aimed at high school and college chemistry teachers but are open to all STEM teachers. Come to share ideas, come to ask questions, or just come for the collegiality.
Our topic for this afternoon is "Implementing NGSS in Chemistry." From preparing students form cross-disciplinary state testing to adapting existing curriculum structures, shifting to NGSS has challenges. Have something to share? You can add to or access shared documents in this folder.
ChemChats are hosted by Sue Klemmer. I am ZOOMING from the coast of Maine, so times are always stated as east coast time. We run 4:00-5:00 pm EST.
The next ChemChat will be March 14th (the 2nd Thursday of the month is our usual date) and that topic will be "Project-Based Learning". We'll also be looking for future topics (differentation is coming!).
