NEACT Summer Conference
Nano-fibers, high tech textiles, and structural color
August 4--7, 2008
University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, MA
This conference will combine the resources of the textile and chemistry departments of the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth and give participants an opportunity to learn more about the latest developments in this area. Hands-on workshops and field trips are also planned.
UMASS Dartmouth is a modern, beautiful campus close to beaches, cities and great shopping. Accommodations are fully air-conditioned and organized as 4 single bedrooms with 2 bathrooms and full kitchens in each apartment.
Total charges for the conference will be $315 per person and scholarship support for teachers will be available. Chargefor commuters is $100 per person.

NEACT
is a registered provider for CEUs in Connecticut, PDCs in Rhode Island, and
PDP’s in Massachusetts. (1 CEU for 10 contact hours in CT, 1 PDC for 15 hours
of credit in RI, 1 PDP for each
contact hour in Massachusetts)

Scholarship Information
The Northeastern Section of the American Chemical Society [NESACS] annually sponsors Lyman C. Newell awards--scholarships--to the NEACT Summer Conference. First-time attendees receive preference. In addition, other scholarships are available, some with preference given to experienced teachers, and some with no limitations.
Financial
support is limited to NEACT costs of this conference and cannot cover any fees
for credits from a college or university.
Significant financial aid is available through NEACT to participants at this Conference. If you are a first-time attendee at a
NEACT conference OR have financial need, you may qualify for this aid. To apply,
