Wildlife Ecology Research Program for Students

The Huyck Preserve and Biological Research Station is seeking bright, motivated high school students (rising juniors and seniors) for its Summer 2014 Wildlife Ecology Research program.

This three-week, residential program is structured to give students the opportunity to learn the skills needed to participate in scientific investigations. Students work directly with ecologist to conduct field studies designed to emphasize research techniques and demonstrate key ecological concepts. In the process, students build skills identifying, monitoring, and sampling plants and animals. The program culminates with students developing a research project from hypothesis to final presentation.
Attached is a copy of the program brochure. More information about Wildlife Ecology Research as well as application materials and scholarship information can be found online at www.huyckpreserve.org/wer
