CSU Regional Chemistry Teaching Symposium

Cleveland State University is hosting its 3rd annual Regional Chemistry Teaching Symposium on March 13th and 14th, 2014.
 
This dynamic chemistry teaching symposium offers a forum to meet and discuss both the successes and difficulties in your classrooms.
It is for advancing and improving the teaching of introductory level chemical concepts and applications and will include speakers,
demonstrations, workshops, and posters.  Our outstanding line up of symposium speakers on Day One  will include:

  • Jason Overby - College of Charleston:  “Atoms First and Adaptive Learning: A Practical Approach to Student Success in Chemistry”
  • Shadrick Paris - Ohio University:  “Employing Technology in the Classroom”
  • Danae Quirk Dorr - Minnesota State University:  “Leveraging Student Learning with the Flipped Classroom”

Registration for the symposium is now open.  Registration may be either mail-in check or money order or through Shop Net.
The registration fee will be $50.00 per day. This fee for the two day symposium will include breakfast, lunch, an outstanding wine and
cheese social hour, and discount rates on lodging. A schedule of events will also include a list of Cleveland’s best sights, sounds, and tastes.
