NEACT's E-mail list has been expanded to include the entire membership
Some time ago the NEACT Executive Board [EBoard] voted to subscribe the entire membership to the NEACT list serve. For the past several years, the list has operated with voluntary membership. The list has spam and virus protection, and is hosted by Freelists.org.
Several announcements have been made inviting members who do not wish to belong to such an all-inclusive list to be excised from it before it was promulgated. On February 10, 2008, the full membership was subscribed. This might result in some inappropriate messages, and we ask that you please bear with us as we deal with those, should they arise.
One problem that has surfaced is that List e-mails to some members have been rejected by their--or their school's--spam filters. We have attempted to send individual e-mails to those members, with mixed success. If you have not received a message that you are now subscribed to the NEACT list serve, you need to remove us from your "blocked" list, add us to your "white" list [of e-mail addresses], subscribe yourself, and/or get help from your IT people to address this problem.
NEACT does want to be in touch with each of its members who has e-mail, but we can't do it if e-mails are blocked! Thank you for your cooperation!
