Boston University Academy is seeking a full-time chemistry teacher for the
2010-2011 academic year. Responsibilities include three sections of
honors-level, 10thgrade chemistry, and either a science elective, a junior
lab research seminar, or a senior thesis advisory group. All Academy
teachers engage in responsibilities outside of the classroom, such as
advising, chaperoning, etc. Strong candidates will have at least three to
five years of teaching, ideally in independent schools. An advanced degree
is preferred but not required.

Academy students are motivated, bright, and engaged. Classes are small and
discussion-based. Students in the eleventh grade at the Academy study
three courses at the Academy, and take two of their courses at Boston
University. Seniors at the Academy take most of their coursework at Boston
University and write a senior thesis with a Boston University professor.

Boston University Academy is as small, independent, co-educational day
